Matchday 10 features ten exciting fixtures set to take place this Tuesday night on the final day of the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers. Five nations are on the brink of qualification, and below, we've highlighted the two biggest matches to watch out for as well as the magnitude of what's at stake.

Scotland and Denmark in a do-or-die clash

  • Date and Time: 18 November 2025, 20:45 (BST)
  • Venue: Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland.

A lot is riding on this match as both Scotland and Denmark trade tackles at Hampden Park this Tuesday. This is a winner-takes-all clash, and an automatic World Cup qualification spot is up for grabs in Group C of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

It's a tightly contested group at the moment, with the two nations separated by a point.

For the Tartan Army, finishing at the top of the group is only part of their mission: it's also an opportunity to end an almost three-decade wait for a World Cup return.

Scotland's last appearance in the World Cup was in 1998.

Steve Clarke's men came up short against Greece in Saturday's penultimate round, suffering a 3-2 away defeat. Despite that result, their qualification hopes were still alive, considering Denmark's blunder against Belarus on the same day.

The Danes' assignment in that match was simple: pick up three points and secure qualification to the World Cup finals for the third consecutive time. That wasn't the case against a side ranked 103rd in the world, as Brian Riemer's side could only manage a point in a disappointing 2-2 draw at Parken Stadium.

Can the visitors get the job done away from home and maintain their seven-match unbeaten run? For more insights on this game, head over to our Scotland vs Denmark prediction to find out what our Sportytrader betting experts have to say.

Head-to-Head Meetings: Who has the edge?

Scotland and Denmark have crossed paths 19 times since their first meeting in 1951. The former came out on top in a 3-1 victory at Hampden Park. This match was part of an international friendly.

The recent meeting between these two nations took place during the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers on May 9th. There was nothing much to separate them as they played to a goalless draw.

  • Matches played: 19
  • Scotland wins: 11
  • Denmark wins: 7
  • Draws: 1
  • Goal difference: Scotland 22-14 Denmark.

Spain aims to finish the competition on a high against Turkey

  • Date and Time: 18 November 2025, 20:45 (BST)
  • Venue: Estadio de La Cartuja, Sevilla, Spain.

You'd expect Spain to have wrapped up qualification to the World Cup finals already given their dominance in Group E of the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers.

La Roja have won five consecutive matches without conceding a goal and scored a whopping 19 goals in the process. However, their plans have been interrupted by second-placed Turkey, who trail them by three points.

Tuesday should be the day when they get the job done as they come face-to-face with the Turkish nation at Estadio de La Cartuja.

Confidence should be sky-high given their recent match in the qualifiers was a 4-0 away thrashing of Georgia. Before this, it was a mirror result against the ceiling dwellers, Bulgaria.

Spain's victory over Georgia extended their unbeaten run to 30 competitive matches - a record run.

Seeing that offense and defense have been the contributing factors to Luis de la Fuente's team in this competition—our betting experts are expecting a comfortable victory as explained in our Spain vs Turkey prediction now available.

Being realistic and judging by the situation in Group E, Turkey, is good enough to secure the playoff spot. Indeed, they are three points behind first-placed Spain, but their -14 goal difference deficit is the only thing standing between them and qualification at this point.

The Crescent-Stars are riding high on momentum with a 2-0 home victory against Bulgaria, marking their third consecutive win in the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers.

Head-to-Head Meetings: Who has the edge?

Spain have established themselves as a superior team in this fixture. Besides winning five consecutive matches, La Roja have suffered just one defeat in their last 12 meetings against Turkey. That match took place in March 1954, losing 1-0 in the FIFA World Cup Group 6

The recent meeting between these two nations took place on September 9th, with Spain securing a commanding 6-0 away victory in the FIFA World Cup European qualifiers.

  • Matches played: 12
  • Spain wins: 7
  • Turkey wins: 1
  • Draws: 4
  • Goal difference: Spain 23-5 Turkey.
