Arsenal vs Liverpool: Payback time as the Gunners seek to exact revenge

The Gunners' push for a league title has been strengthened
With Manchester City and Aston Villa dropping points in midweek Premier League action, Arsenal's push to end their 22-year wait for a Premier League crown has been strengthened.
The Gunners currently sit atop the standings with a five-point cushion over the chasing pack, and victory here could see them widen the point gap to eight points.
Mikel Arteta's men are already favorites with the best online betting sites to come out on top against defending champions Liverpool. It must be highlighted that they had a far from ideal start against Arne Slot's men in the current campaign, suffering a 1-0 defeat at Anfield, meaning this matchup presents nothing but an opportunity for them to exact revenge.
So far, Arsenal have won 15 of their last 20 Premier League games and are five wins away from matching last season's total of 20 with 13 games in hand. For a side that was expected to play second fiddle as usual, that should be enough to indicate how determined they've been in their bid to clinch silverware.
A contributing factor to their success this season has been their rock-solid defense. With 14 goals conceded, they boast the league's best defensive record. Manchester City comes the closest with 19 goals conceded. Their offense shouldn't be overlooked, as they've scored a whopping 40 goals, which is the second-best.
Their recent league outing was against Bournemouth, and they managed to snatch three points in a hard-fought 3-2 away victory. Declan Rice was the standout player, scoring a brace with assists from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka. Rice has now scored four goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances.
The Reds are aiming for a league double against Arsenal
The defending champions, Liverpool, have performed below expectations. Retaining the league title has taken a back seat to their primary objective to finish inside the top four, which guarantees UEFA Champions League football for the next season.
The Reds, occupying fourth place in the Premier League standings, have maintained a three-point cushion over ninth-placed Fulham, who have accumulated 31 points from 21 games. What this means is that their position is yet to be guaranteed, with five teams above them within touching distance of kicking them out.
Despite his side being underdogs in this clash, head coach Arne Slot is not at all intimidated. However, he is looking forward to this matchup. Slot has fond memories when playing against Arsenal, having avoided defeat in his last three games, recording two draws and a solitary win.
Liverpool's recent 2-2 draw against Fulham extended their unbeaten run to nine matches across all competitions. This should be considered a significant improvement for a side that had lost three matches in a row.
