Sebastian Ofner vs Jaume Munar Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Rio Open

EIghth seed Sebastian Ofner has a difficult first round match in the Rio Open against unseeded Jaume Munar. The winner of this match will be up against either Alejandro Tabilo or Thiago Seyboth Wild (both unseeded) in round two of this outdoor clay court tournament. Ofner is 37th in the live rankings which is a career high for the Austrian. He's down at 77th in the ATP Live Race and has won four of his nine matches played in 2024. His year began well with a run to the last four in Hong Kong but that was on a hard court. He hasn't been able to build on that good start and failed to make it past round one of the Australian Open. His clay court season hasn't started well either losing both his matches in Cordoba and Buenos Aries.

Jaume Munar is 73rd in the live rankings and 19 places lower in the Live ATP Race. The Spaniard has also won four of his nine matches played so far this year. He only reached the second round of the Australian Open but has shown better form on clay. Munar got to the last eight in Cordoba but then lost in the qualifying rounds in Buenos Aires. Munar is a former junior French Open finalist, losing to Andrey Rublev in the 2015 final. He's played Ofner twice in the past and both matches were played on clay. Munar won both of those matches and without dropping a set. We tip him to get another win over his opponent.
