Rotherham vs Nottingham Forest Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Rotherham United are in the bottom three of the Championship but could esape the relegation zone with a win here. They are 22nd and host Nottingham Forest who are up to 17th after a good recent run.  Rotherham lost away at leaders Norwich City on Saturday. That was bad enough but news that Birmingham had won at Sheffield Wednesday sent the Yorkshire side back into the relegation zone. They trail Birmingham by two points but have a couple of games in hand on them. Birmingham host Norwich earlier in the day, so if they don't win that game, a Rotherham win over Forest will see them climb out of the bottom three. Rotherham had been in good form earlier this year with three wins out of four. However, their last three league fixtures have all been lost and no goals scored in the last two defeats. Home form has produced just one win in the last five league games with three lost. 

Nottingham Forest have had a tough season, spending a lot of it in the relegation zone. With Chris Hughton now in charge, they are gradually moving away from the bottom three. They are currently seven points above the relegation zone but Rotherham have two games in hand on them. Not losing this game is of vital importance to them. They don't want that gap to be narrowed and also know a win would take them close to safety. Saturday saw them beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 at home, their third win in the last five league fixtures. The other two were against Wycombe and Coventry, both battling relegation. Away form has had caused plenty of problems for Forest with eight league defeats this season. It's picked up well though of late with three wins in the last five, the only loss being at promotion chasing Swansea City, who also knocked them out of the FA Cup.  They have still only managed 11 away league goals this season. This looks like being a tight game, go for under 2.5 goals to be scored.
