West Bromwich Albion are top of the Championship and have won each of their last four league games. They bid for a fifth consecutive victory away at fifth placed Preston North End who have lost their last two league games. Albion lost out in the play-offs last season in a penalty shoot-out against Aston Villa. This season they have won 11 of their 18 league games with only one defeat. That was inflicted on them by Leeds United who are second in the table. If Leeds beat Middlesbrough on Saturday, they will take over as league leaders. Albion have scored nine goals in their four recent wins and only conceded twice. They have earned 20 away points this season, joint best in the league with Leeds who have played a game more.

Preston North End were top of the table a few weeks ago. However, they have lost twice in the last week, away at Derby County and Hull City. The midweek loss at Hull was a heavy one as they went down 4-0. Their away form isn't good but it's different a home where they have the best record in the Championship. They have won seven out of nine and along with their opponents are the only clubs yet to lose a home game. Their last two home wins have been against sides currently in the bottom half of the table. Home games against Leeds and Bristol City (7th) are the ones in which they have been held to a draw. Albion are in top form coming into this game and can get the away win.
