Christmas Day sees a rematch between the 26-4 Oklahoma City Thunder and the 22-7 San Antonio Spurs who clashed in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Texas. They sit 1st and 2nd in the West at present, so let’s get stuck into a prediction.

The Thunder ended up with their worst beating of the season when they met the Spurs earlier in the week, going under by 20 points. All four of their defeats have come away from Paycom Center now.

They also took a loss to the Spurs in Vegas earlier this month, that was a much tighter two-point contest. At home they are a perfect 14-0, however, so this could be a very different contest in the making. 

The Spurs will arrive with confidence high given that the Thunder are 0-2 against them this season and 26-2 against everyone else. They have a 10-5 road record though which, although better than the majority of the league, could spell trouble here. 

They have had plenty of road time, 11 of their last 14 away from Texas, losses coming in Phoenix, Minnesota and Cleveland in that time. The Suns and Cavs are both only three games over .500.
