World number nine Musetti advanced to his third quarter-final at Chengdu after a three-set battle with Dino Prizmic. This is his third appearance, and after reaching the semis and final in the earlier two, he will be looking to go all the way.
The Italian is gunning for his first title of the season but has been to the Monte Carlo final. He has compiled a 31-13 record and comes here placed ninth in the live rank.
Basilashvili is also making his third appearance at Chengdu, but unlike Musetti, this is the first time he’s been able to go past the second round. Having seen the 2024 finalist struggle to beat Prizmic, Basilashvili will feel this is not a closed game.
