For the first time in their WTA Washington history, Leylah Fernandez and Anna Kalinskaya will be playing in the final. This marks a second match between the two, Kalinskaya having defeated Emma Raducanu and Fernandez beating Elena Rybakina in the semis. Read on for our prediction.
Kalinskaya overcame Raducanu in straight sets and will be fighting for a first-ever WTA singles title. Her semi-final win means she hasn’t dropped a set here and will be the fresher of the two, having spent three hours less on the court.

Fernandez will be going for her fourth WTA singles title, after battling for three hours against Rybakina. She won in three sets, and like her opponent, this marks the Canadian’s first title match in the year.
Dropping a set for the second time means she has spent over nine hours on the court in Washington. Fernandez will hope fatigue doesn’t check in, with the final also expected to be tough.
The 22-year-old has now set a 20-17 record for the season and enters the final placed 37th in the live rank. She also beat Maya Joint, Jessica Pegula, and Taylor Townsend on her way to the final.
