The 15-15 Golden State Warriors will host the 12-19 Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day for a Western Conference matchup in the NBA. The Warriors are 8th in the West ahead of our prediction on the game with their visitors in 11th.

Home cooking has been good for the Warriors, 9-4 at the Chase Center. Those four losses have come in their last eight here, though they have won their last two against the Phoenix Suns and the Orlando Magic.

The Magic have not been great on the road but they are currently the six seed in the East, on top of the Southeast Division, so a winning margin of 23 has to go down as a positive ahead of their Christmas fixture.

Dallas arrives off the back of a narrow win over the Denver Nuggets. They have lost four straight on the road, however, with an overall record of just 3-9 when they have been on their travels. 

One of those three wins came in Washington who have the worst record in the NBA, the other two at the Clippers and the Nuggets. The latter was a good showing and having beaten them last time out, they appear to be Denver’s bogey team.
