Second seed in Rouen, Caroline Garcia takes on Elisabetta Cocciaretto in one of the most competitive first round matches of the Rouen 250 WTA tournament. Garcia has not been in great form of late, losing six of her last ten matches and posting a 50% winning record in 2024 so far. However, the talented French right-hander has been ranked as high as fourth in the world and is still ranked 23rd, considerably higher than her young Italian opponent.
