Birmingham welcomes Huddersfield Town to the St. Andrew's Stadium for this match in the Championship. The home team had a draw in their opening league match against Luton and will be looking for their first win of the new season in front of their home supporters. Birmingham will be desperate to improve on their 20th place finish last season but they face a tough ask in this match as they have only beaten Huddersfield once in their last eight matches. The home team had a disappointing pre-season as they only won one of their five matches with two draws and two losses. Birmingham had the third worst defensive record in the league last season and they will be glad that they started the season with a clean sheet away from home. They will however need to improve their home form as they have only won one of their last eight games.

Huddersfield no doubt began this season with high hopes after their superb third place finish last season but were instead beaten 1-0 at home by Burnley. They will need to bounce back in this match if they are to replicate their heroics from last season. Huddersfield have only won one of their last five matches with three losses and a draw. They do however have a good record away to Birmingham, losing just once in their last four visits winning twice and drawing once.
