Last season's finalists Bordeaux Begles have gotten off to a poor start in their 2025-26 Top 14 campaign. The Girondins fell 28-7 to Stade Francais last week. Lyon's impressive three-match winning streak ended last week against Section Paloise in Pau. Karim Ghezal's side conceded 20 points in each half, falling 40-15 against the hosts.
The loss against Section Paloise marked the team's fifth defeat on the road in six matches dating back to last season. They have also struggled in their recent away matches against Bordeaux Begles, losing 11 of their 12 trips to face the Bordeaux-based giants.
