The race for survival is on and battling West Bromwich Albion know just how crucial getting three points at home against Everton will be. West Brom are 19th in the standings with 17 points while Everton, who are eyeing the Champions League slots, are seventh on 43 points. West Bromwich Albion are nine points below the safety zone after their 1-0 win over Brighton in the last game. That win was their third of the season and the third straight undefeated outing, while defensively they are also improving, having kept two straight clean sheets. As they set targets for this game, West Brom will be without Semi Ajayi, who is still suspended, Robert Snodgrass who is out injured and wait on news on Kieran Gibbs who is doubtful. This will be the second of three straight home games for West Brom and they should make it count as they did against Brighton. They are unbeaten in the three home matches that have followed on that 5-0 loss to Manchester City. Kyle Bartley has been key for the team at home, with two goals in the last three home games.

Everton are coming from two good wins; against Liverpool and Southampton. Coach Carlo Ancelotti has issued a rallying call for his players to target a Champions League place and that will be their highlight here. They are two points below fourth place and Richarlison will once again be in focus, having scored five goals in the last five matches. The Toffees have registered two straight clean sheets in league action and four wins in their last 10 matches. They’ve failed to score in only three of their last 15 league matches. Ancelotti will particularly be happy to lead his team at the Hawthorns backed by a home win in the last game. The win over Southampton was Everton’s first at home in six league matches but they have done superbly away from home. They’re unbeaten in their last eight away league matches, winning six and drawing two. The Toffees have failed to score in just one of their 12 away league matches this season.
