Lucky loser Vitaliy Sachko has a date with Flavio Cobolli in the first round of the Hamburg Open on Tuesday. The two will be facing off for the first time, with a match against Guy Monfils or Alejandro Davidovich Fokina awaiting. Let’s have a look at the prediction.

Sachko is making his second appearance at Hamburg after failing to make it past the qualifying round in 2024. This year, he lost in the qualifying final but got a second bite at the cherry after earning the lucky loser spot.

For the third time on the tour, he will be playing in a main draw after getting lucky loser tickets. He is, however, winless in five first-round main draw matches.

While Sachko grapples with his main draw woes, Cobolli will be trying to get back to the form that led him to the Bucharest title. That period was Cobolli’s break from a poor start to the season, but he has struggled to replicate it.

In his last eight matches, he’s managed just three wins. The Italian lost at the first hurdle in the Rome Masters and is coming from another weak outing at the Turin Challenger.

He was beaten in the second round by Daniel Altmaier in straight sets. Despite winning his first ATP tour title, Cobolli is still on a losing run, having compiled an 11-14 record.
