Tottenham vs Fulham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

It's a change of opponent for Tottenham this week. The third placed side were due to travel to Aston Villa but now host Fulham who are in 18th position. It's all down to the ongoing pandemic of course as outbreaks cause problems. Always likely when goals are celebrated and players can travel all around the country during a national lockdown. Tottenham had been going through a bad patch last month with a run of three games without a win. Since then, they have gone five league and cup games without a loss with four of them won. Sunday saw them get a 5-0 win at Marine but the many players rested for that match will be back in action for this game. Tottenham had been leading the Premier League until a run of two points from four matches. They bounced back to form with a 3-0 win over inconsistent 'how do we defend?' Leeds United. Before that game though, Tottenham had only scored five goals in their previous six league fixtures. Home form has seen them win four of their last five in the Premier League and five of the last eight have had under 2.5 goals scored in them. Neither Kane or Son played against the hapless non-leaguers on Sunday. If they can continue their great partnership this season, a successful 2021 could be on its way.

Fulham are battling hard to get out of the bottom three. They have had problems with coronavirus and this is their first league fixture since Boxing Day. The weekend did see them travel to QPR in the FA Cup and come away with a 2-0 win after extra time. That extended their unbeaten run to five games but was their first victory after a loss and four straight draws. They remain in the bottom three but are three points from safety with two games in hand. Their last four league games have all ended level and  there have been under 2.5 goals scored in each of the last five and the FA Cup tie. That stat has come up in their last six league matches now. A big improvement for Fulham who had major defensive problems earlier in the season, Only four goals have been conceded in their last six matches and three of those came from the penalty spot. Away form has only produced five points from seven games with four defeats. Tottenham are starting to get their form back together again and will likely win this game, a bet on under 2.5 goals in the game looks safer with Fulham's defence having improved.
