Fifth-placed Stade Toulousain host eighth-placed RC Toulon in this Top 14 matchday eight fixture on Sunday at Stade Ernest-Wallon. The defending champions will look to return to winning ways against the visitors following last week's defeat against Section Paloise. Here is our prediction for the match.

Stade Toulousain surrendered a seven-point lead in the first half to fall 30-26 against Section Paloise in their last outing. This result marked their third defeat in five Top 14 matches and saw them fall five points behind table-toppers Stade Francais Paris.

However, the Red and Blacks have proven difficult opponents for visiting teams since last season, winning 17 of their last 18 matches at Stade Ernest-Wallon. This includes a perfect record in their three home matches this season, all won by wide margins. 

After a 17-point loss to Clermont, RC Toulon returned to winning ways at the weekend by defeating Racing 92 45-21. They won both halves to secure their fourth victory in six matches this season.

Nevertheless, Pierre Mignoni's side have struggled in their recent encounters with Stade Toulousain. They have lost their last three meetings with the Toulouse-based giants, two of which by 34 points or more. They have also lost their last eight away matches, including their last four trips to Stade Ernest-Wallon.
