Porto top the Portuguese league but only on goal difference from their opponents in this game, Braga. They both have 21 points from their nine games played but while Porto have lost two league matches this season, Braga remain unbeaten. Porto come into this game on the back of an impressive 4-1 home win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League and they top their group looking almost certain to reach the last sixteen. That victory was their sixth straight win and they have won nine of their last ten matches. They have only lost one home league game this season and that was a shocker as they led Vitoria Guimaraes 2-0 in the first half only to lose 3-2. Their other four home league games have all been won without a goal being conceded and they have won 14 of their last 15 home league games with only one defeat in the last 40. They have a highly impressive home record against Braga with eight wins and a draw in the last nine against them.

Braga are still unbeaten in the Portuguese league this season with six wins and three draws. Their last three league games have only produced one win with the other two games being drawn. Two of their three draws have been away from home including their opening game when they drew after leading 3-0 at Santa Clara only to draw 3-3. Only two of their last five away league games have been won and with their poor record at Porto and the great form of the home side, the tip is for a home victory.
