Bournemouth took the lead but allowed Manchester United back in the game, in their last outing, and they went on to lose 1 – 2. They definitely have learnt a lesson or two from that and they will be keen to stop a repeat when they take on one of the struggling teams in the league. Prior to their loss to Manchester United, Bournemouth were on six straight wins and three clean sheets but there is no shame in a loss to United. Save for the loss to Burnley, they have not lost any other winnable game, with their earlier loss being to Chelsea. It all tells a story about Bournemouth, and their growth this season; they have six wins, three losses and two draws in the Premier League this season and have scored 20 goals, 13 more than Newcastle. Bournemouth have failed to score in just three matches this season, and have four clean sheets in the 11 played in the league. As for Newcastle, the surprise win over Watford in their last game remains their only victory in the league this season. It lifted them off the red zone and though it will be tough, the Magpies will be seeking another win, to propel the team further up but their last two results should give them hope. It was the first time the Magpies have kept successive clean sheets since March, but looking at Bournemouth’s scoring run, it will be hard for them to maintain this, especially with a league run of five losses in six matches at home.
