32nd seed Corentin Moutet is targeting reaching round three of the Australian Open for a second successive year. To do so, the Frenchman must defeat qualifier Michael Zheng. Time for our match prediction.

Corentin Moutet has made it to the second round of this outdoor hard court tournament for five successive visits. Round one saw the 26-year-old defeat Australian Tristan Skoolkate in straight sets. He's now 37th in the live rankings.

Moutet is playing his first tournament of 2026. Last year saw him win 15 of his 27 outdoor hard court matches with two semi-final appearances. On an indoor hard court he made it to the final in Almaty.

Michael Zheng is making his Grand Slam main draw debut this week. The American has only previously played in the US Open but never managed to make it through the qualifying rounds. He won three qualifiers last week though, two going the distance.

Round one saw the 21-year-old beat Sebastian Korda in five sets after winning the first two. He's now played 14 minutes short of ten hours in this tournament. He's up to a career-high 143rd in the rankings.
