Katie Boulter is three wins away from a third successive Nottingham Open title. The eighth seed takes on unseeded McCartney Kessler in the last eight of this grass court tournament. Read our match prediction below.
Boulter is 39th in the live rankings and could still be seeded at Wimbledon if retaining this title. The 23-year-old can also regain the British number one ranking that was lost to Emma Raducanu last week.
Her grass court season began with a second round loss to Diana Shnaider at Queen's Club. This week in Nottingham has seen her defeat Lulu Sun in straight sets and then fellow Brit Sonay Kartal in three sets.
The winner of this match will be up against either seventh seed Linda Noskova or unseeded Rebecca Sramkova in the semi-finals.
McCartney Kessler is up to a career-high 40th in the live rankings. The 25-year-old American also lost in round two at Queen's Club last week, being defeated by top seed Qinwen Zheng. This is her fourth quarter-final of the year with one hard court title won in Hobart.
To reach this quarter-final, Kessler has had wins over top seed Beatriz Haddad Maia and Zhu Lin.
