After a 1-0 win in the first leg of the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, Qarabag will look to complete the job against Shkendija in the second leg. This match on Tuesday at Tofiq Bahramov Stadium comes with our prediction of under 2.5 goals.
The winner of this two-legged tie will move to the playoff round, where either Ludogorets Razgrad or Ferencvaros will be their opponent. The losers of both these games will be transferred to the Europa League playoff round.
An early 18th-minute penalty was enough for Qarabag to win the first leg 1-0, continuing their impressive run in the qualifiers. They have now won all three of their Champions League qualifiers this season, each time keeping a clean sheet.
That included a 1-0 home win against Shelbourne in the previous round, and a repeat clean sheet would be enough for them to progress from the qualifiers.
Shkendija followed their loss in the first leg of this qualifying round with a 5-1 home win against Shkupi. The defeat remains an aberration in terms of their recent results, as the Macedonians have five wins in their last six matches, including friendlies.
It will be a different challenge in Europe, though, as Shkendija failed to score in three of their last four away matches in UEFA competitions.
