La Vuelta Stage 17 Predictions & Betting tips - International

Another flat stage on the Vuelta for Stage 17 as the peloton faces their final stage for the sprinters in the contest. That should mean that it is another day that is going to suit the likes of Matthew Brennan.

Brennan has enjoyed an exceptional Vuelta, which has included four stage wins to this point. Given that this is only his first Grand Tour, he has really come of age and looks to have a big future ahead of him. 

A man who has helped Brennan along in this race is teammate Wout van Aert. He has been making sure to pick up the stage wins himself as he has the green jersey on his back to defend but he has found time to help his younger teammate as well. 

Bryan Coquard won Stage 8 and was runner-up to Brennan on Stages 11 and 16. The Cofidis team has had a tough time of things the last couple of years but are enjoying a bit of a resurgence in 2026, with Coquard picking up three of their 13 wins.

Jordi Meeus has shown plenty of consistency so far in this race, adding a fourth place on Stage 16 to his three podium finishes from earlier in La Vuelta. He should be in the mix once more.
