This is a massive match for Como as it is their very first in European competition. Their opening game in the league phase of the Champions League sees the Blue and Whites host RB Leipzig. They have made a strong start to Serie A this season, and our prediction here is a win for Como.

Como 1907 - Leipzig: Form Analysis
Como are fourth in Serie A after the first three games of the new season. They are two points off the top of the table after two wins and a draw. Como began the season with a 1-1 draw at Udinese, but since then have had league victories away at Napoli and most recently a 4-1 win at Genoa.

RB Leipzig are eighth in the German Bundesliga after the first couple of games of the new season. The Red Bulls got the new season off to a great start with a 3-0 home win over Monchengladbach. It didn't go so well in their second fixture as they were beaten 3-1 at Werder Bremen.
They finished third in the German Bundesliga last season, but have now lost four of their last six away league games.

Como 1907 & Leipzig Squad Analysis
With this being their very first European campaign, Como have ensured that their squad has been strengthened during the summer transfer window. That has included the signing of Moise Kean who has scored five Champions League goals in his career. He made his debut as a sub against Genoa but could well start on Thursday.
Only two players scored more goals than Anastasios Douvikas in Serie A last season. He has already scored twice for Como this season and will be a major threat for the Italian club. Their squad is nearly fully-fit aside from Jayden Addai who is out for a while.
No Baumgartner for Leipzig.
RB Leipzig need to bounce back from their away loss at Werder Bremen. They are not always at their best on the road and have some injury problems ahead of this Champions League game. Christopher Baumgartner scored 17 goals last season, but he has not traveled to Italy.
Christopher Nkunku has joined them on loan from Milan and another new recruit is Marc Guiu, signed from Chelsea.
