Hungary and Sweden will this Friday meet for the first time in nine years. The two clash in a friendly match hosted in Hungary as they prepare for September’s World Cup qualifying matches. We have a prediction below.
Hungary haven't done well in recent matches, and here they will be looking to patch up in time for the competitive duties ahead. Their last win dates back to October, a 2-0 away victory in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and they failed to win any of the last four.
Magyarok lost three times in four matches coming here, and a poor run of form has the team on only two wins since June last year. At home in the last five matches, they are also winless.
Sweden will be parading a much better run of form in this match. They’ve lost only once in the last eight outings. That loss was really a surprise, the team falling to Luxembourg in March.
Blagult, however, responded in style, with a 5-1 win against Northern Ireland. That was their sixth win in eight matches.
Having beaten Hungary in seven of their last eight meetings, Sweden will be confident of extending that dominance going into this game. The Swedes avoided defeat in three of their last four away matches.
