Grigor Dimitrov vs Taylor Fritz Prediction & Betting Tips - Geneva Open

Second seed Taylor Fritz and fourth seed Grigor Dimitrov will on Friday square it out the semifinals at the Geneva Open. The winner here will advance to play either unseeded Nicolas Jarry or third-seed Alexander Zverev in the final. Dimitrov is targeting to reach his first tour final in five years. The last time the Bulgarian played a tour final was back in 2018 at the Rotterdam Open. He came close to playing this year’s Rotterdam final but was eliminated in the semifinals. This remains to be the highlight of a topsy-turvy season that has seen him win 14 of his 23 matches. Six of his wins have come on clay with the latest being a three-set battle with Christopher O’Connell in the quarterfinals. Dimitrov started the week ranked 33rd in the world but has since moved up three places to number 30 in the live ranking.

Taylor Fritz is ranked ninth in the ATP and is making his debut appearance in Geneva. He has been superb so far this season with 29 wins from the 39 matches he has played. Nine of those wins have come on clay. He has dropped one set in the two matches he has played. The American defeated Ilya Ivashka in straight sets in the quarterfinals and will be confident of extending his record against Dimitrov. The two have met once before, in Madrid in 2019 and Fritz ended up winning in straight sets. Fritz has played five semifinals so far, two on clay, but has advanced to the final once.
