Diana Shnaider vs Magdalena Frech Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA London

Diana Shnaider is seeded fifth for the grass court WTA Queen's Club tournament in London. Round one sees the Russian face unseeded Magdalena Frech. The winner faces either Katie Boulter or Ajla Tomljanovic in round two. Here's our match prediction.

Shnaider will be hoping for another successful grass court season after winning the Bad Homburg title in 2024. Shnaider is currently 12th in the live rankings and 19th in the WTA Race. Her best performance at Wimbledon is the third round she reached last year.

The 21-year-old leads Frech 2-1 in previous meetings. All have been played in the last ten months but on hard courts.

Magdalena Frech is the world number 24 but only 64th in the WTA Race. The Pole has only won seven of her 21 matches played this year.  Three of her last four matches have ended in defeat.

On grass courts, Frech has only made it past round one at Wimbledon once in six tournaments. That was in 2022 when making it to round three. Last year, Frech played six grass court matches and won the first two to reach the last eight in Nottingham.

That was as good as it was going to get for her. Frech then lost her next four grass court matches.
