The 2020 Copa Libertadores tournament gets back underway in midweek with Club Bolivar of Bolivia hosting Palmeiras of Brazil at the Estadio Hernando Siles in La Paz. It is the third round of group games (this being Group B) after a long delay caused by the global pandemic. The last fixtures of the Copa Libertadores took place in March 2020. Bolivar had recovered from a 2-0 defeat to Guarani of Paraguay by beating Tigre of Argentina by the same scoreline; it leaves them third in the group. They have won 12 and only lost one of their last 18 home matches in this competition. Palmeiras have laid down a marker in the opening two matches, earmarking themselves as contenders worthy of backing. They go into this match on the back of a 14-match unbeaten domestic run. In the Libertadores, they are unbeaten in their last four away matches. Bolivar are unbeaten in their last 16 home matches in all competitions but their last game was in March.
