Burnley opened the season with a good win over Southampton but after that they have registered a winless run of four matches and the lowest point in that run is perhaps their elimination from the League Cup by Sunderland. Defensively, they have also been exposed, as they have conceded nine goals in the four matches coming after the 3 – 0 opening win over Southampton, though they have managed to score in four of the five matches they have played this season. Their last match was a tough one, as they fell 0 – 3 to Liverpool and having also met Arsenal earlier, they can be excused for the unimpressive results. Burnley have four wins in their last 15 Premier League matches with just three clean sheets in the run while they have failed to score in just four of the 15. It is their away form though that they need to work on a lot, as they have no win in the last four and their last 15 away matches have come with just three wins, and seven losses. They have no clean sheet in nine away league matches and just two in 15. Brighton, on the other hand, have a win and eight losses in their last 13 Premier League matches and have just two clean sheets in their last 14 league matches. It is not any better for them at home; they have no win in seven, and just one in the last even league matches at their backyard. Brighton have not managed a win over Burnley in the last seven meetings, even though five of those have ended in draws. In the two meetings, Burnley walked away with three points, and they have three clean sheets in their last four meetings with Brighton.
