Portsmouth welcomes MK Dons to Fratton Park for this second round tie in the FA Cup. Both teams are currently playing in League One with the home team in 7th position with 29 points while the visitors are in 21st spot with 14 points. Portsmouth comes into this match on the back of a 2-0 win over Ipswich in the EFL Trophy Cup. They are now unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions with four wins and four draws. Portsmouth are just a point the promotional playoff positions in the league but have a game in hand over the team above them. They beat non–league side Hereford 3-1 in the first round of this competition but can expect a sterner test against their fellow League One rivals. MK Dons also won their last match as they overcame Newport in the EFL Trophy Cup. It was a welcome return to winning ways as they had lost their previous two matches in the league. Their form in the league is of major concern as they sit in the relegation zone, a massive six points from safety. They do however have a game in hand over the team above them. Mk Dons recorded their biggest ever win in the FA Cup in the last round as they thrashed non-league side Taunton 6-0. They will be confident coming into this match as they have won the last three matches against Portsmouth.
