Philadelphia Union bid to make it three straight wins in the MLS. They are fourth in the Eastern Conference and two places above their opponents Charlotte. The Union are in the play-off positions but nine points adrift of leaders FC Cincinnati. Their form is good though with recent league wins over New England Revolution and most recently at New York City. They'll be hoping for more goals from Julian Carraza who has scored three in the last two matches. Home form for the Zolos has seen them win four out of seven in the MLS with only one defeat to Orlando in March. Only five goals have been conceded in their seven home conference fixtures with three clean sheets in the last four.

Charlotte are three points behind their opponents but with a vastly inferior goal difference. They may be sixth in the Eastern Conference but have conceded 25 goals in 15 games. That puts them level with Atlanta as the holders of the worst defensive record in this confererence. They have won four of their last five matches, the other being a 2-1 home loss to Nashville who scored a 93rd minute winner. Charlotte are inconsistent on the road though. Of seven games, they have won three but lost the same number. They also lost away to Birmingham Legion in the US Open Cup. Three of their last five away matches in the Eastern Conference have been lost. We go for another loss here with Philadelphia getting the win.
