African giants Egypt will be at home for their opening match of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, hosting Cape Verde on Friday. This match marks the second meeting between the two nations this year. Read on for our prediction for the game.

Egypt will go into the game as favorites, coming from a good run in their World Cup qualification matches. In the June international break, The Pharaohs banked four more points in the World Cup qualifiers.

They drew 1-1 away to Guinea Bissau in their most recent game. The last time they faced Cape Verde, in January, the two nations played to a 2-2 draw. With one loss inside 90 minutes in the last 13 matches, Egypt will be confident of bagging three points here.
