Bidco United vs Mathare United Prediction & Betting Tips - Kenyan Premier League

Three years of close shaves with relegation is the face Mathare United have to bear in the Kenyan Premier League. This season hasn’t started any better for them, and they’ll be gunning for only their first win when they play away to high flying Bidco United. Hosts Bidco have 14 points, in eighth place while Mathare United are at the foot of the league standings. Bidco’s revival started with a 4-1 win over AFC Leopards and have since gone unbeaten in the three matches that followed, winning three. They have scored two or more goals in three of their last four matches, a great improvement from their run at the start of the season. In their opening five games, they lost three and only won one, but in their last five matches, they’ve won three, though there’s a clear need to work on the defence. Head coach Japheth Akhulia admitted as much in their last game, a 2-1 win over FC Talanta, another game without a clean sheet. They’ve so far managed two clean sheets in 10 games while three of their last four matches have produced over 2.5 goals.

Mathare United have played Bidco United four times and lost all. They will troop into this game as the only team in the league yet to win a game this season. The 2008 league champions started late as they had a court case, and in their seven matches so far, they have six losses and a draw. It is not like they are badly off, but they just lack the winning touch. The Slum Boys have scored in five of their seven matches, on one occasion scoring more than goal, but they haven't kept a clean sheet, conceding two or more in five of seven games. This will be another chance for them to start their survival race and coach Boniface Omondi has stated in no uncertain terms that if only they can sort their defensive woes, they’ll be good. Midfielder Mark Kwasira will once again miss this game as he recovers from a violent robbery that needed him to have surgery.
