After playing two friendly matches, Besiktas managed to get to winning ways in their last Super Lig encounter, beating Akhisaspor 3 – 1 to end a run of four winless outings and when they take on Erzurumspor it will be another hunt for three points against a considerably weak opponent. They have picked five straight losses in the Super Lig and it has not been any easier away from home as the newlyt promoted side is still in search of the first away win in the Super Lig after playing eight games. Of the eight, they have lost three and picked five are draws. This is only the second meeting between the two sides; the first ended 3 – 1 in favor of Besiktas.
