Two sides on tough starts to the Bundesliga season will face off this Friday at the WWK Arena. Augsburg will play host to Borussia Monchengladbach in the first of Match Day 6 Bundesliga action. In their trip to Leipzig, they were beaten 4-0. That marked the second time they lost by such a margin this season. They’ve now conceded the most among teams outside the relegation region (14). That loss left Jess Thorup’s side 15th in the league standings, a point outside the drop zone. Their only league win this season was against promoted side Saint Pauli.

Borussia Monchengladbach are also having a torrid start to the season. With two wins in the Bundesliga though, they could say their season is much better than their hosts’. They will seek to build on that but this could come with relative difficulty, going by their recent form. Monchengladbach conceded eight times in those three defeats. The five-time Bundesliga champions have three wins in their last 27 away league matches, a run they’ll aim to improve here.
