Euro 2020 takes place in June and July and looks to be an open tournament. We look at the teams that are likely to be contesting the final on July 11.

Who will make it to the Euro 2020 Final?

The clock is counting down to the Euro 2020 Finals. For a month, the top footballing nations in Europe will be battling it out to become the 2020 champions. Just where all the matches are taking place hasn't been confirmed yet due to the ongoing health crisis. What we do know is that the final will be played at Wembley in London, England on July 11 and there are  several teams who could be playing in that match.

England Bidding for Glory

angleterre-euro-20112019England have gone 55 years since that famous day when they won the World Cup.  The fact that final was played at Wembley had a lot to do with that success and the same could happen again this summer. There are at present scheduled to be 12 tournament hosts but the semi-finals and final will all be held at Wembley.

Gareth Southgate's team had a good qualifying campaign and they finished top of their group. Plenty of goals scored and only an away defeat in the Czech Republic. They have reached the semi-finals of both the World Cup and UEFA Nations League in recent years. The 2020/21 Nations League campaign wasn't so successful as Belgium finished top of their group. England did manage to beat them at Wembley though.

Their Euro 2020  group isn't the most difficult one and all their games will be played at Wembley. They are up against Croatia, the Czech Republic and Scotland. England could do with the last sixteen and quarter final being held there too. If they win Group D, then their last sixteen opponents are world champions France, defending European champs Portugal or Germany. Get past them and England's odds will plummet from the current 5/1.

England have plenty of striking options available. There could be lots of goals scored by players such as Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Raheem Sterling. The worry for England is their defensive abilities. If they can improve in that area, then a successful tournment is more than likely.

Belgium will be tough to Beat

belgique-euro-20112019

Wherever you look in the Belgian squad, there are potential matchwinners. They finished third in the 2018 World Cup and had few problems qualifying for these finals. Belgium are currently ranked number one in the world and shouldn't be too scared of England. They beat them twice in the 2018 World Cup and then had a win and a defeat against them when winning their 2020/21 Nations League group. Belgium will point out the fact they had key players missing when losing to England at Wembley.

With players such as Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Toby Alderweireld and Michy Batshuayi, Belgium have a great chance to win this title. They have plenty of experience too with eight of their squad having earned over 70 international caps. Their draw isn't an easy one and they could even face Portugal, France or Germany in the last sixteen but they could well be up to that challenge and are well worth a bet at 11/2.

France Go for the Double

france-euro-201120192018 saw France become world champions and they will be strong contenders to win Euro 2020.  They have become European champions on two previous occasions but not since 2000. France had a tough time in their qualifying group, eventually finishing top above Turkey. They have an experienced squad and that could pay dividends in this tournament. After his recent showing against Barcelona, this could the the tournament where Mbappe really shines.

The toughest battle for France could well be in the group stages. They are in a real group of death alongside Portugal and Germany with Hungary completing the four teams. Their games won't be played on home soil but with the likes of Mbappe, Griezmann, Pobga and Giroud, France will be difficult to beat in this tournament.  You can get odds of 6/1 on them winning the tournament.
