Arsenal will look to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League standings on Saturday afternoon when they take on Hull City at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners have the best defensive record in the league this season, and we are going for them to win this match with a clean sheet as our main prediction.
Mikel Arteta’s side return to domestic duty after securing a victory in Prague in the Champions League on Wednesday night. With Man City dropping points in the last two weeks, the Gunners are now leading the EPL standings and could enter the November international break with a six-point buffer over the chasing pack.
Of the three newly-promoted teams, Sergej Jakirović’s men have been the most impressive, but they missed an opportunity to pick up three points against Ipswich Town last weekend. Still, 11 points from nine games is a fair return for the Tigers, and if they are able to pull off a shock here, they could head into the international break inside the top eight. Let’s get into the key stats!

Arsenal - Hull: Form Analysis
Arsenal brought an end to their 14-year EPL winless streak at Anfield last weekend by producing a defensive masterclass to beat Liverpool 1-0 and move three points clear at the top of the table.
The Gunners did not allow the Reds a single shot on target in that match. They are the meanest defence in the top flight by some margin, averaging just 0.80 xGA per 90, while allowing opponents only 2.67 shots on target per game.
The reigning champs have won all five of their home games across all competitions and scored two or more goals in each. They have kept clean sheets in their last two at the Emirates ahead of this one.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 14 matches against Hull across all competitions!
Meanwhile, Hull City will be kicking themselves after taking a 2-1 lead against Ipswich Town at home last week before conceding in the 74th minute and being forced to settle for a 2-2 draw.
The Tigers are now winless in their last seven league matches (D5 L2). They are averaging 1.47 xGA per 90 but have the second-lowest xG in the division (1.22), only behind Coventry City (1.00).
The visitors have earned four points from as many home league games this season (W1 D1 L2), but they have not tasted victory at the Emirates Stadium in the top flight since September 2008.

Arsenal & Hull Squad Analysis
Arteta was able to welcome William Saliba back to his matchday squad in midweek, albeit as an unused substitute. However, Ezri Konsa was taken off with a knee injury in that match and is a doubt for this weekend.
With Saliba still working his way back to full fitness, Cristian Mosquera is the most likely to start in defence if Konsa is unable to feature. Bukayo Saka and Max Dowman are the two confirmed absentees for the Gunners.
Viktor Gyokeres got the nod to start in Prague and picked up a goal and an assist, but Kai Havertz is expected to return to lead the line from the off here after his goal proved decisive at Anfield last weekend.
Declan Rice has five assists in the EPL and has recorded five shots in his last three league appearances!
Jakirovic will have to make do without the services of experienced midfielder Matt Crooks, who was shown his fifth yellow card of the season against the Tractor Boys and is suspended for this trip to the Emirates.
Crooks adds to an already lengthy absentee list for the Tigers, which includes Eliot Matazo, Matt Targett, Lucas Gourna-Douath, Ilyas Ansah, Darko Gyabi, and Charlie Hughes. Jack Butland could return to the squad this week.
Ollie McBurnie took his season tally to four goal contributions (2 goals, 2 assists) by netting against Ipswich. His physical presence up top will be key in trying to unlock the Gunners’ defence, but he is one yellow card away from an automatic suspension.

Our Arsenal vs Hull Prediction
While Arsenal may have to make do without Ezri Konsa this weekend, Cristian Mosquera has done very little wrong when he has stepped into their defence, and Arteta will be expecting his side to keep another clean sheet in front of their home fans.
Hull City will need to impose their physicality on the Gunners’ backline to try and disrupt them, but as the underlying numbers indicate, the Tigers do not create many clear-cut scoring opportunities. Therefore, our Arsenal vs Hull City prediction is Arsenal wins & BTTS (NO).
Arsenal vs Hull Alternative Predictions
Declan Rice to score or assist
The England international has racked up five assists in his last seven league matches, including setting up the winner against Liverpool last week. He takes corners, which is another route to goal contributions.
We will also be backing Rice to record 1+ shot on target after attempting three shots against the Reds last weekend.
