Birmingham will look to extend their grip in the League One title race when they visit Wrexham on Thursday for a matchday 28 meeting. This match between the 3rd-placed Red Dragons and the league-leading Blues at the Racecourse Ground comes with a prediction of both teams scoring.

Wrexham has 51 points from 26 matches and is three behind second-placed Wycombe, while Birmingham has 56 points from 24 matches. The hosts lost 2-1 at relegation-threatened Shrewsbury last Thursday for their second defeat in three matches.

Both defeats have come away from home, and the Welsh side will hope to get back to winning ways at their favourite venue. Wrexham hasn’t lost at home all season long, winning 15 and drawing two matches in all competitions.

Birmingham won the reverse fixture 3-1 and are also coming off a 1-0 win at home against Exeter last weekend. That result made it eight wins and two draws since their last defeat in mid-November in the league.

The Blues can lay a mark in the title race with a win here that would see them get a five-point lead. Recent away form is equally good for Birmingham, raising their hopes, as they won four and drew one of their last five league trips.
