Wydad Casablanca have the chance to rise from the bottom of Group B when they host Simba in the CAF Champions League. These two sides occupy the bottom slots, Simba in third and Wydad fourth. Both are yet to win a game in the group though Wydad are badly off, with zero points ahead of this game. Trailing Simba by two points, Wydad will hope to go ahead of their Tanzanian opponents here. They warmed up for this game with a 3-1 win over Mouloudia in their local league. That win ended a run of four straight defeats for Wydad. In three of those four losses they failed to score.
