UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 hosts Switzerland will be hoping to record their first points in Group A on Sunday when they take on Iceland at Stadion Wankdorf. La Nati and Stelpurnar Okkar are third and fourth in the group standings, respectively, and yet to get off the mark. Let’s get into the match prediction.
Switzerland were left gutted in their opening match of the Women’s Euros, having squandered a 1-0 lead to end up losing 2-1 to Norway in Basel in midweek.
Nadine Andrina Riesen scored La Nati’s only goal of the match in the 28th minute. With that result, the Swiss have now conceded two or more goals in five of their last seven matches.
Notably, the tournament hosts have won just one of their last 10 matches across all competitions (W1 D2 L7), which was in a friendly against Czechia at the end of last month.
Meanwhile, Iceland put up a tough fight against Finland in their opening match. They kept the game goalless for an hour but conceded shortly after Hildur Antonsdottir was sent off in the second half.
