Sheffield United vs Luton Town Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Sheffield United will take on Luton in Championship action on Saturday afternoon. The Blades are sat in 3rd position while the Hatters are in 20th. Both teams were in the Premier League last season so Luton will have been hoping to get off to a stronger start than they have. It strikes as an interesting game for a prediction. 

There is one team that has not been beaten through the first eight games of the season and that is Sheffield United. They have 10 points from a possible 12 at home, only QPR have escaped with a point, in the opening home game of the season for Sheffield United.

Their three games since have all been 1-0 wins. The most recent of those was Swansea on Wednesday night, following on from Watford and Derby. Two of the winning goals were own goals so despite their lofty position, they have struggled to score.

Luton won this fixture 3-2 on Boxing Day last year but they have been slow out of the blocks this time around. They let a 2-0 lead slip in their most recent match at home to Oxford on Tuesday night. 

They have a win at Millwall on the road as well as gaining a point at Portsmouth. Losses at Preston and Plymouth are their other away results so far, all of those four teams sat 16th or worse. It has not been a tough schedule for them to this point, yet they have got just four points out of it. A trip to Sheffield United is by far their toughest task of the season so far.
