Saudi Arabia and the USA meet at the neutral venue of Estadio de La Condomina in Spain for this friendly international. This will be the third match between the teams with one win apiece. The last of these matches was way back in 1999. Saudi Arabia come into this match on the back of a goalless draw in their last match against Ecuador. This is now three consecutive matches that they have failed to score and coincidentally all three games were against South American opposition. Saudi Arabia have only won two of their last ten matches across all competitions with five defeats and three draws. While they have struggled in front of goal, their defence has been miserly with just six goals conceded in their last seven matches. They will however need to improve their attack if they are to be competitive at the World Cup.

USA do not bring the best of form into this match as they were beaten 2-0 by Japan in the last match. The defeat has now meant they are two games without a win after they drew their previous match against El Salvador. The USA qualified for the World Cup after finishing third in the North & Central America Qualification tournament. They will be looking to replicate that form in the run up to Qatar 2022. USA have only lost twice in their last nine matches with four wins and three draws. They also have an excellent defence, conceding just three goals in the last five matches.
