RB Salzburg had a big win at Benfica in their opening game in Champions League Group D. They top the group and now host Real Sociedad who are third after drawing their first match. Salzburg won their first group match 2-0 in Portugal with a goal in each half. The Red Bulls will want to get another win under their belts before home and away games against Inter. They are going great guns in the Austrian Bundesliga and top the table after nine games with a point lead. Last season saw them finish third in their Champions League group and then lose to Roma in the knockout play-off round of the Europa League. Home form has seen them only lose to Chelsea in their last nine European games.

Real Sociedad drew their opening match at home to Inter. They took an early lead in that game but the Italians equalized in the 87th minute. Sociedad are playing in the Champions League for the first time since the 2013-14 season. Last term saw them in the Europa League topping a group that included Manchester United but then losing in the last 16 to Roma. Only one of their last seven away European games have been lost. This season in La Liga, Sociedad are fifth in the table with 15 points from their first eight games. Their last three league fixtures have all been won and at the weekend, they defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-0 at home. Only one of their three away games has been won. This won't be easy for them and we tip Salzburg to get a home win.
