Racing 92 are unbeaten in their last four Champions Cup meetings with Munster, winning three. They travel to face the URC club in their opening fixture of the competition on Saturday, with our prediction backing them to at least cover the handicap.
After bouncing back with a narrow four-point victory over Bulls in Round 2, Munster settled for a stalemate, drawing 26–26 with Ulster in the URC last weekend. The Red Army have now failed to win four of their last six matches, dating back to last season.
Clayton McMillan's team have been installed as favourites for this clash, but Racing 92 have not been easy opponents for them. They are winless in their last four meetings with the French side, losing three.
Racing 92 suffered a 29–15 defeat to RC Toulon in Top 14 last weekend, taking their record to four defeats in six domestic league fixtures this season. However, Le Racing have won four of their last seven away matches, dating back to last season. They drew 21–21 with Munster in their last trip to face the Irish side and are likely to pose a significant challenge to the hosts again on Saturday.
