Fulham will have another chance to try and end their winless start to the Premier League when they host promoted Hull City. The two sides face off at Craven Cottage, separated by nine points after six matches. When these two sides last faced off back in 2023, Fulham claimed a 2-0 win in the FA Cup and will hope for a repeat as they seek a lift.
With just two points secured from a possible 18, manager Alvaro Arbelkoa must be a man under pressure. It is even more painful to take that Fulham dropped points from winning positions in their last two matches. Facing two promoted sides back-to-back offers Fulham a chance to improve, as they are just two points adrift of safety.
Meanwhile, Hull City may be freshly promoted, but they aren’t pushovers, as among the teams they’ve beaten this season is Manchester United. However, they carry here a winless run of five matches, and with both struggling, our prediction leans towards a draw.

Fulham - Hull: Form Analysis
Fulham haven’t entirely been poor; hard luck and lack of concentration when it matters most have influenced their season. The last two matches seemed to be heading Fulham’s way, but what would have been six points ended up being one.
It all started with conceding a late one against Manchester United at home to see the match end 1-1. Then after the international break, they were cruising to a 1-0 win over Ipswich Town before the Tractor Boys scored two late ones for Fulham to lose 2-1. They have back-to-back matches against promoted sides, and as tough as it may be, Fulham will have to rise to the occasion.
Fulham have dropped points from winning positions in their last two matches.
Hull City have slowed down a bit since their flying start in the early rounds of the season. It is hard to imagine that they haven’t won at all since the start of September. Their last victory was a 1-0 defeat of fellow promoted side Coventry. They’ve since gone five games without a win, losing twice in the process.
In their latest outing they traded blows in a 2-2 draw with Everton, and the hope is that they return to winning ways here. They lost in three of their last four visits to Fulham, so that option is not all promising. They could do with avoiding defeat, though, as Fulham are winless in their last three league games at home.

Fulham & Hull Squad Analysis
In the midst of Fulham’s struggles, Josh King has been a bright spark in their attack. The England U21 international has three goal involvements to his name. In the Premier League alone, he has two goals and has attempted 14 shots in his six league appearances.
Fulham are, however, likely to be without midfielder Tom Cairney, who is still mentioned as a doubt. The hosts may also miss the services of left-back Antonee Robinson, though Ryan Sessegnon has proven to be a worthy replacement.
Hull’s Mohamed Belloumi has five goal involvements in six Premier League appearances.
Hull City, on their part, are set to stick with their tried-and-tested back three strategy even in the absence of Nobel Mendy. The defender is ruled out for 14 days as he recovers from a groin injury.
In his absence, Lucas Herrington comes in to provide solidity alongside the ever-present Semi Ajayi and John Egan. The Tigers’ long-term injury list hasn’t changed much, with Eliot Matazo and Matt Targett, with respective ACL and knee injuries, keeping them out.

Our Fulham vs Hull Prediction
Fulham have been consistently complacent. When in a position to claim six points from their last two outings, they have only managed to win one. They’ve dropped points from winning positions and invited pressure on themselves.
They’ve looked promising at times, though, and might avoid defeat here. Hull have been the surprise package in the Premier League but haven’t shown the ability to go the long run. A winless run in September might come with a dent in their confidence. Our prediction for Fulham v Hull City is a draw.
