Brentford will be putting their unbeaten start to the Premier League on the line when they host Liverpool on Saturday. A good start to the season has Brentford in fourth place with 10 points, a tally that is only one point ahead of ninth-placed Liverpool. The last time these two sides met, both scored, and the same has been the case in half of their last 10 meetings.
There will, therefore, be some value in backing goals on both ends of this match, as our prediction fronts. Liverpool haven’t produced many clean performances so far in the season, especially in defence.
New manager Andoni Iraola’s imprint is still a work in progress, and an area he will be looking to address is the defence. A case in point is Liverpool conceding six times in their last two outings. Brentford, who enjoy the longest unbeaten run among teams in the PL, will be looking to reap from that side of Liverpool.

Brentford - Liverpool: Form Analysis
Brentford are coming off an entertaining four-goal thriller as they drew 2-2 with Aston Villa last time out. No team led for more than two minutes in the game, with Brentford being the first to score before needing a late goal to secure a hard-fought point.
That marked a fourth draw in the last six matches for Brentford and an extension to their unbeaten run, which now reads 10 games starting from last season. In six of their last seven matches, though, the Bees failed to keep a clean sheet. They actually have only two clean sheets in their nine games this season and none at home in the last five meetings with Liverpool. However, they beat Liverpool the last time they hosted this fixture.
Liverpool failed to beat Brentford in both of last season’s duels.
Liverpool are winless in their last two matches against Brentford, and they conceded three times in their last visit here. Heading into this encounter, Liverpool were the eye of an entertaining encounter in the Champions League as they thrashed LASK 6-3.
They needed that for their morale after earlier seeing their own unbeaten run of seven matches come to an end. The Reds had lost 3-0 against Manchester City. Meanwhile, there could be more history to this match that the visitors won’t like. New manager Andoni Iraola has never beaten Brentford before, losing five times in seven meetings.

Brentford & Liverpool Squad Analysis
Brentford’s battling draw with Aston Villa came at a cost, as Kevin Schade and Jannik Schuster left with shoulder and ankle injuries, respectively. The two will sit out this game as they add to the hosts’ long injury list that also has Mikkel Damsgaard and Nathan Collins, both listed as doubtful, while Josh Dasilva, Antoni Milambo, and Kaye Furo are all confirmed absentees.
Brentford may be without Kevin Schade, who scored home and away against Liverpool last term.
Liverpool will be forced to improvise in defensive midfield after Dutchman Ryan Gravenberch was sent off against Manchester City last weekend. The good news is that the midfielder is only out for one game, but the bad side is that he is not the only one unavailable.
Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexander Isak, and Cody Gakpo are all major doubts with various injuries. Hugo Eketike is a long-term absentee, which leaves Liverpool seriously short in attack. Record signing Bradley Barcola will offer some reprieve, though, having scored his first three Liverpool goals in the midweek Champions League win over LASK.

Our Brentford vs Liverpool Prediction
Liverpool scored in each of their last 10 meetings with Brentford but only kept one clean sheet in the process. Both teams scoring is a key feature in this matchup, and we are expecting the same here, as two attacking teams face off.
While Liverpool have averaged just over a goal in their league engagements, Brentford recorded exactly two per game in the six rounds. This, and the fact that both will be eyeing three points here, has our prediction for Brentford v Liverpool as BTTS.

Draw
While Brentford are unbeaten in the season so far, most of their recent matches ended in draws. They've only managed one win in the last five league outings. In this encounter they face a Liverpool side that hasn’t been very convincing either.
The Reds have only won two of their six league matches so far. With such numbers we will be backing a draw as our second prediction.
