Everton - Chelsea: Form Analysis
Everton have made an unbeaten start to the new Premier League season. Ten points have been earned from their first six league games with a couple of wins and four draws. The most recent of those draws came last weekend away at Hull City in a game in which they both trailed and led.
Their six league fixtures this season have seen only 13 goals scored. Only eight goals have been scored by Everton with five scored against them. Home form in their new stadium was a big problem last season and did contribute towards them missing out on European qualification.
This season they have played three home league games with two wins and a draw. Wins have come over Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town with the other being a 2-2 draw with Manchester United. They have also had a home win over Wolves in the Carabao Cup.
Chelsea must improve their away form.
Chelsea were in great form last weekend as they beat Bournemouth 5-1 at home. The Blues will now hope that they can transfer their form at Stamford Bridge. On the road this season, Chelsea have won away at Fulham 3-2 but since then have been beaten at Arsenal and most recently suffered a 3-0 loss at Brentford.
They have conceded at least twice in eight of their last nine competitive away games, plus in a friendly.

Everton may again be without Vitaliy Mykolenko for this home game against Chelsea. He missed last weekend's 2-2 draw at Hull City. If that is the case, then Jarrad Braithwaite will find himself being asked to play at left-back. Everton have only conceded two goals at home this season, both in the draw with Manchester United.
Barry in good scoring form.
They will be hoping for another good performance from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. He scored and made an assist last weekend. Thierno Barry has also been an influential player for the Toffees this season with three league goals being scored so far.
Just why are Chelsea not able to consistently get wins on the road? That's just one question that Alonso has to solve if his side is to challenge for the title. Another is their inability to keep a clean sheet with none so far this season. They are strong in midfield with Henderson rolling back the years with a couple of goals against Bournemouth.
Joao Pedro remains in good scoring form for the Blues. They may be without Reece James and Emmanuel Emegha for this match.
