Mia Pohankova faces Wang Xinyu in a battle of the wildcards in the second round of the Wuhan Open. This will be their first ever meeting, and our prediction has Wang winning.

Facing compatriot Xinyu Wang, Wang won by the loss of just two games, with the match barely going past the hour mark. It was the 44th win in a season that has seen her reach the fourth round in both Cincinnati and Paris in the French Open.
Wang will face Pohankova, having moved up 13 places in the live ranking to 78th place.
