Golden Arrows will look to keep within touching distance of the top three in the PSL when they play host to Supersport United on Wednesday evening. The hosts are in eighth place in the league standings, while the visitors are fifth. Golden Arrows have delivered a mixed bag of results this season. However, they have got themselves back in the rearview mirror of the top three sides following back-to-back wins over Polokwane City and Richards Bay in their last two games. With those results, they are now on 29 points after 21 games, four points below Sekhukhune United in third place. At home this season, Arrows have managed just 11 points from a possible 30, with that win over Richards Bay bringing an end to a five-match losing streak during which time they failed to score in three of those matches. Meanwhile, Supersport United come into this match after booking their place in the last eight of the Nedbank Cup with a 3-1 win over the Natal Rich Boys in their last match. However, they will need to find the same type of form returning to the league competition, where they have been notably poor since the international break for the Africa Cup of Nations. Matsatsantsa have played four consecutive 1-1 draws since the league resumed, drawing against each of Stellenbosch, Cape Town City, Amazulu and Mamelodi Sundowns. They are now winless in their last five games since December 30. On the road this term, Supersport have taken 16 points from a possible 33, are winless in their last three (W0 D2 L1), and have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last ten away games. Despite their average form, the visitors have the class in their ranks to bounce back here and cannot be ruled out of this contest.
