Kilmarnock vs Rangers Prediction & Betting Tips - Scottish Premiership

Kilmarnock host Rangers on Wednesday evening in what is likely to be a very important Premiership game in terms of the title race. Killie have beaten both Rangers and Celtic at home this season and they boast the best home record outside of the Old Firm duo. They are also on a fine run of 12 games where they have endured just one defeat (at Rangers) and where they have drawn away at Celtic. They have won six and drawn five games in this impressive run but goals have been something of a problem. Killie have managed just 31 this season in the league, that coming in 27 games. None of their last four games have seen over 2.5 goals scored. Combined with Rangers, just 33% of the games involving the two this season have seen both teams score and 41% have seen over 2.5 goals scored. 

Rangers have bounced back from a stuttering start to the season where they lost three of their first seven games and they have lost just one game since (at Celtic at the end of December). In fact since landing a 3-0 win at St Mirren on the 8th October, the Gers have won 18, drawn one and lost one of their next 20 Scottish Premiership games. An outstanding run which has seen them win all of their last eight games scoring 23 goals in the process, conceding just 3. Away from home Rangers have been nothing short of outstanding defensively conceding just four goals in away games this season, two of those coming in their last defeat at Celtic. Having taken over from the Hoops at the top of the table in the last couple of weeks, they will know a win is vital here if they are to stay there.
