Huddersfield Town host Reading in a crucial League One clash on Saturday afternoon. Will the home town Terriers get back to winning ways after three defeats in a row? Or can Reading read them the riot act and the Royals close the gap on their playoff rivals with a win? Or will our match prediction here be for a share of the spoils?

Despite a long unbeaten record taking a battering in the past three games, Huddersfield Town occupy fifth spot in League One with 48 points from 28 games. Two behind Stockport in fourth and seven behind Wrexham in third but with a game in hand on both. Reading are eighth, four points behind Huddersfield with both teams having played 28 games.

Huddersfield enjoyed a long unbeaten run until recently, when it was ended following a 1-0 home defeat to Bolton. They then lost another home game, 1-0, but this time, it was to League One leaders, Birmingham City. Last weekend, they lost 3-2 away to Northampton to continue a miserable run of results for the home team. 

Things were not much better for Reading until last weekend, either. The Royals had lost three in a row, 3-1 at home to Stockport, 2-0 away to Leyton Orient and 3-2 away to Burton Albion. But last weekend they got back to winning ways with a vital 1-0 home win over Bolton Wanderers.
